Happy Easter to all! I hope you are enjoying a lovely day.
My apologies for the sporadic posting. I’m currently in grad school and the class I’m in now is just ruling my life. I think I’ve suffered at least three meltdowns thus far, and now I seem to be getting sick. I seriously blame this awful class for all my woes. 🙂
But here is something that always makes me happy: Morning Rosie! Our general routine is Rosie wakes me up to be fed around 5 a.m. I think “Oh, good, I have an hour or so left to sleep, hurrah!” I feed her and while she eats, I go back to bed. Then I wake up a little while later and see her there next to me. It’s so nice. It’s just a little quiet time in the morning for me to start to wake up and give her a few pets. She thumps her tail a couple times and her motor starts purring. She’s so good.
A few weeks ago we got a ton of snow, but then it became really sunny. I snapped these pictures of Rosie catching some sunbeams. These are some of my favorite pictures of her.
Watching her birdie friends.
Rosie looking queenly.
My favorite of the three. She’s so relaxed!
We were happy to have a visit from Auntie Rene tonight. She helped me trim Miss Rosie’s nails – by doing all the work. 🙂 Thank you, Rene!
In a more serious note, while it’s upsetting to see Rosie’s surgery photos, I am so glad I have them! I check her for lumps and bumps and this afternoon I thought I felt something. (I’m paranoid now, after finding that first lump.) But it’s nice, because I can see “Ohh, that’s where her staples were.” Her fur now covers up her scars. So it’s nice to have that reference to ease my mind a bit. Although I am still a worrying mama because she is my baby. 🙂 And thankfully now she is a very healthy baby!
Is there anything cuter than little kitteh feet? Their paws are just so tiny! And cute and don’t even get me started on their little pads. I must be one of those weirdos because I just marvel over them. Ha!
One of my favorite things is when I’m barefoot and Miss Rosie walks on my feet. It’s usually while I’m barefoot, for some reason, and usually when I’m standing in my bathroom curing my hair or putting on makeup, or in the kitchen washing dishes. She’ll wind around my legs and bump up against me but every once in a while she’ll literally walk all over my feet. (Ahh, typical cat – the world is her footpath, lol!)
It makes me melt, though, because I think “Ahh! Tiny little kitteh feet!” and I have to stop what I’m doing and crouch down to give her a rub or pick her up and give her a squeeze. Funny how her walking all over me makes me so happy!
