The Rosie Bee

Starring Grizzy and Sophie

Still here

on June 16, 2013

I’m still here! I’ve just been coming out from under last semester. I passed my class (for which I had to write the proposal). After that, I had to *defend* my proposal and get approval from the IRB – Institutional Review Board. They like to have us students jump through a zillion hoops. Well, that went through and hurrah! In August I’ll start my last semester as a graduate student. If all goes as planned, I’ll graduate in December. Whew!

In the meantime, I’ve been looking for kitties. I think the people at the humane societies are starting to recognize me. 🙂 For the most part, it seems like every cat (or kitten – I’ve branched out) that I’ve looked at has been “on hold,” meaning an adoption is pending. I’m glad to see so many adoptions but man, I really know how to pick ’em! haha

I’ve been thinking about maybe starting out with one adult. It might be easier to find a perfect (non-adoption-pending) single adult cat and then try to later find a friend for him or her. Lately I’ve been thinking about how nice it was when Rosie and I had “Mom and Me” time. So, I’m open. We’ll see. The big thing is I’d like to be able to meet the cat first before I make any decisions.

I’ve also been spending more time with my parents’ newest additions. Here is a picture of Tom (orange) and Pearl (black):

Hopefully I will have more kitty pics of my own child(ren) to post soon. 🙂

  1. Glad things are okay on the school front. We know you’ll find the perfect one(s) for you.

It should be much easier sailing now that the most stressful part is over and you can concentrate on finding a fur baby. My first two kitties were adults and my current kitty was 5 months old when I adopted him. Loved the picture of Tom and Pearl. I think Tiny is a one purrson kitty and he loves being the center of my attention.
